Ceremony & Reception

Both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors in the Kings Garden at
Fort Ticonderoga. The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing.

A note for the ladies: you may want to wear wedges or flats to keep from sinking into the grass in the garden and under the tent.


Shuttle Service

A shuttle service will be provided for guests between the Best Western Hotel and Fort Ticonderoga. Pick-up/Drop-off times are below.

Pick-up:
Best Western– 3:50 PM

Returning Shuttle:
Shuttle service from the reception back to the hotel– 10:30 PM

Directions

Fort Ticonderoga is located at 100 Fort Ti Road in Ticonderoga, New York. The closest airports are in Burlington, VT and Albany, NY. Amtrak stops in Ticonderoga (the train station is within walking distance to the Fort for guests coming in the day of the wedding) but taxi service to your hotel would have to be arranged prior to arrival by calling Joe’s Taxi (the town’s one and only cab!) at 518.585.4412.

For guests traveling by train, Amtrak is currently offering  one free companion rail fare with the purchase of one regular adult rail fare on the Adirondack line to and from Fort Ticonderoga. Purchase your tickets at least 3 days in advance and enter discount code V774.

From US Interstate 87 (North or South) – Take Exit 28 onto NY Routes 22 and 74 East – Follow for about 18 miles – Turn left onto Route 74 East – Follow for about a 3/4 mile, go beyond the main Fort Ticonderoga exit gate, and the entrance to Fort Ticonderoga will be on the right.

From NY Route 9-N (North or South) – Follow 9-N to the traffic circle in the town of Ticonderoga — Turn east onto Montcalm Street and continue 3 miles through 2 stoplights and 1 flashing light onto Route 74 East – Follow for about a 3/4 mile, pass Fort Ticonderoga’s exit gate, and and the entrance to Fort Ticonderoga will be on the right.

From Vermont – Follow state Route 74 West to the Ticonderoga Ferry (toll ferry) at Shoreham or Route 22A via Route 73 in Orwell- After crossing Lake Champlain, the main entrance to the Fort will be your first left onto a dirt road.

Albany, NY – 2 hrs. | Lake George, NY – 1 hr. | New York, NY – 5 hrs.
Burlington, VT – 1 ½ hrs. | Boston, MA – 4 hrs.
